Behind the name Maestro Lucas is the story of a man who, since childhood, has carried a passion for technology, music, sound and communication. His name is Luxon Souffrant — founder of LucasRadio, beatmaker, music producer and sound engineer.
His is the story of a dream born early, a passion that grew with time, and a vision that — despite the difficulties — became reality.
Where the name Lucas comes from
The name comes from a memory of childhood, from the days he played football in the street with the other kids. Among the players there was one called Lucas — a name that caught his attention and stayed with him, especially in the days he played wearing the number 8 on his back.
With time, Lucas became more than a name. It became an identity, an artistic signature, and a mark that would shape his path through music and radio.
A passion for radio and electronics
From a young age he showed a deep interest in radios and electronic devices. Whenever he found a radio that had stopped working, he would take it apart, study it, and try to understand how it worked and how it could be repaired.
Those hours built his curiosity and his feel for electronics and electricity. He kept learning and kept sharpening his technical skill — and all the while, the idea of having a station of his own kept growing.
That is where the dream of LucasRadio began.
2011The project is born
The LucasRadio project began to take shape in 2011. At the time he did not have the means to launch an FM station. But a lack of resources was not going to end the dream.
He made small shows from home with a microphone, a mixer and a speaker. It was a way to live the passion, to speak with people, and to put his experience into practice.
Those home broadcasts were the first step of something much larger. Without the equipment and without the means, he kept believing in the vision.
Learning the craft
Alongside radio, he built up his knowledge of computing early on, always looking for new ways to grow.
Then came music production. He began learning beatmaking at EG Records in Bèlval, Léogâne — a first training that opened up the possibilities of creating music and sharpened his technique.
He continued at IDC Haïti in Delmas, where he studied recording, mixing and mastering.
That training took him deeper into the industry. He worked in studios, made beats, recorded music and grew as a producer. And through all of it, he never let go of the first dream: to make LucasRadio real.
2021LucasRadio reaches FM
After years of effort, the project reached a turning point. With the support of a friend who lent him a 30-watt transmitter, LucasRadio went on the air on the FM band.
It was a major victory — a dream carried since 2011 taking physical form. That first broadcast marked a turning point in the station's history and gave the project a new dimension.
The road was not easy. But the difficulties never erased the passion. If anything, they strengthened the determination to keep building.

Today the dream is reality. LucasRadio lives on the internet and on the FM band, which lets the project keep growing and reach its audience through more than one road.

Derrière le nom Maestro Lucas se trouve l'histoire d'un homme qui porte depuis l'enfance une passion pour la technologie, la musique, le son et la communication. Il s'appelle Luxon Souffrant — fondateur de LucasRadio, beatmaker, producteur musical et technicien du son.
Son histoire est celle d'un rêve né très tôt, d'une passion qui a grandi avec le temps, et d'une vision qui, malgré les difficultés, est devenue réalité.
D'où vient le nom Lucas
Le nom vient d'un souvenir d'enfance, de l'époque où il jouait au football dans la rue avec les autres enfants. Parmi les joueurs, il y en avait un qui s'appelait Lucas — un nom qui a attiré son attention et qui a marqué sa mémoire, surtout à l'époque où il portait le numéro 8 dans le dos.
Avec le temps, Lucas est devenu bien plus qu'un simple nom. C'est devenu une identité, une signature artistique et une marque qui allait tracer son chemin dans la musique et la radio.
Une passion pour la radio et l'électronique
Tout petit déjà, il montrait un grand intérêt pour les radios et les appareils électroniques. Chaque fois qu'il trouvait une radio en panne, il aimait la démonter, l'examiner et chercher à comprendre comment elle fonctionnait et comment la réparer.
Ces expériences ont nourri sa curiosité et sa passion pour l'électronique et l'électricité. Il a continué à apprendre et à développer ses compétences techniques — pendant que l'idée d'avoir sa propre station grandissait en lui.
C'est ainsi qu'est né le rêve de LucasRadio.
2011Naissance du projet
C'est en 2011 que le projet LucasRadio a commencé à prendre forme. À cette époque, il n'avait pas les moyens de lancer une station sur la FM. Mais le manque de ressources n'allait pas mettre fin au rêve.
Il faisait de petites émissions chez lui avec un micro, une table de mixage et une enceinte. C'était une façon de vivre sa passion, de communiquer avec les gens et de mettre son expérience en pratique.
Ces émissions représentaient la première étape d'un bien plus grand projet. Même sans tout l'équipement et sans les moyens, il a continué à croire en sa vision.
La formation
En parallèle de la radio, il a développé très tôt son intérêt pour l'informatique, cherchant toujours de nouvelles occasions de progresser.
Est venue ensuite la production musicale. Il a commencé à apprendre le beatmaking à EG Records, à Bèlval, Léogâne — une première formation qui lui a ouvert les possibilités de la création musicale et affiné sa technique.
Il a poursuivi sa formation à IDC Haïti, à Delmas, où il a appris les techniques de studio, de mixage et de mastering.
Ces formations l'ont fait entrer plus profondément dans l'industrie. Il a travaillé en studio, composé des beats, enregistré de la musique et grandi comme producteur. Et pendant tout ce temps, il n'a jamais oublié son premier rêve : faire de LucasRadio une réalité.
2021LucasRadio arrive sur la FM
Après plusieurs années d'efforts, le projet a franchi une étape décisive. Avec le soutien d'un ami qui lui a prêté un émetteur de 30 watts, LucasRadio a diffusé sur la bande FM.
Ce fut une grande victoire — un rêve porté depuis 2011 prenant enfin forme. Cette première diffusion a marqué une étape importante dans l'histoire de la station et a donné au projet une nouvelle dimension.
Le chemin n'a pas toujours été facile. Mais les difficultés n'ont jamais effacé sa passion. Au contraire, elles ont renforcé sa détermination à faire grandir le projet.
LucasRadio aujourd'hui
Aujourd'hui, le rêve est devenu réalité. LucasRadio existe sur internet et sur la bande FM, ce qui permet au projet de continuer à se développer et d'atteindre son public par plusieurs voies.
La présence en ligne représente une nouvelle occasion d'élargir l'audience, de partager la musique, de transmettre l'information et d'offrir des programmes variés, où que les gens se trouvent.
